Webbazaar trains talented security guard in design

Bangalore-based leading website designing firm Webbazaar have come forward to back the dreams of a security guard, who has been gifted with talent in abundance. Following a report in Inspired Indian Foundation's website (see Inspiring Indian section), Webbazaar management have decided to train Srikanth Kumar Sahu (28) on various designing platforms. Srikanth is an ace painter and has so far drawn close to 5,000 paintings.
"We were tounched by his story and thought it will be befitting to the Webbazaar tradition to train a talented person. So Srikanth is been now given the basic computer training as the first step. We are teaching him how to browse various websites, the use of search engines and so on. Slowly seeing his response, we shall introduce various graphic designing tools to him. A team of 5 designers will take turns and teach him the nuances of design. They will also monitor his practical skills every alternate days. He is very keen to learn and that's a huge positive step," Ms Shweta Shetty, Vice-President Webbazaar said.
Reacting to the noble gesture by Webbazaar, the man of the moment Srikanth, hailing for a poor family in Orissa, said he was completely moved. " I am very happy. I was surprised when I was told to learn computers. I am thankful to God and all the good people who came to help me. I will become a good designer. I will try," he said.
Inspired Indian Foundation salutes the spirit of Webbazaar and its dedicated team.
